It wasn't silence, but waves of an inner call; everything was screaming inside my soul.
When the lips fall silent, the soul screams in pain.
In 2010, at three o'clock in the afternoon, a girl with messy hair and features reflecting a loving soul stood still. She was twelve years old, playing joyfully. But there was someone watching her, plotting a scheme that would end her life.
It was that snake with the rotten face, and evil is part of her name… Shiryan.
Yes, she is a spiteful thirty-five-year-old woman, looking at the innocence of the girl standing in front of her house, that girl who draws a foolish smile full of love.
What is the name of this girl?
Her name is not Qusay… it's Emily.
And the symbol of safety in her is faith (Eman).
A part of her knows for sure that God only created her for a great love within her. How could God create a soul and not grant it a treasure? That knowledge which Iblis wished for with his malice when he refused to prostrate. The little girl wondered: why did Iblis refuse to prostrate and be close to God?
She wished to be in his place, to kneel often so that God would only look at her. Thus she prayed, fasted, and learned things about her religion. She was the opposite of everyone; carrying no malice, while those around her were filled with it.
And here, that wicked woman approached her, deciding to get close to the child by pretending to love her. She knew the child was an orphan of both father and mother, working alone, with no one close to her, and having no friends except her neighbor who played with her. She knew she needed someone, so she approached her… and here the control began.
Shiryan: How are you doing, Emily? Did you know that so-and-so asked about you?
Emily: Really? I knew that Abbad was walking behind me with his friends, and they were hiding behind the walls of a house in Hajj Saeed Street. I told them: "Come out, I know you are hiding!" Hahaha.
But Shehab told me that Abbad likes a girl and wants to give her a gift, and they decided to ask me about her. So I told them to bring her chocolate, a teddy bear, or perfume. And then I left… but I waited to know why they asked me.
Shiryan: Why?
Emily: Hahaha… because they meant me!
Shiryan: You know I love you, right? I'm like your big sister. He is two years younger than you, and that's not appropriate. He's still young… and you are older.
Emily: I understand… but he's the one who always walks behind me. Hossam told me that Abbad adores me.
Chapter One
Here, that vixen gave a look of malice, but the girl did not understand why Shiryan was gritting her teeth with a strange look. She returned home in the evening, but here her mother came from work, screaming and cursing at her in front of her siblings. She hated her mother a lot. Why does she scream and yell like this?
Emily used to sleep a lot to escape from her mother. Her mother would wake her up from sleep and tell her:
Mother: Why do you sleep so much, girl? Did someone take you behind an agricultural land and commit an obscene act with you? Tell me, why are you silent?
Emily felt disgusted and sad by what her mother was telling her. She knows her mother loves her, but why does she treat her like this?
She went back to sleep, escaping. Suddenly she saw a large green land, many apple trees around a river. She stopped at one of the trees, and tried to pick an apple.
Here appeared a boy holding the apple she was trying to pick, and he gave it to her, but she couldn't see his face. She held the apple and thanked him.
Then her sister Fadia came and woke her up from sleep. Fadia said:
Fadia: Get up, Emily! Come on, come on… let's go to school.
Fadia left, and Emily was trying to get up from her bed, but she stopped when she saw that she was holding the apple she had seen in the dream.
Emily (thinking): What is this? Is this real? Or did Fadia give it to me while I was sleeping?
